Dr. Ravish Kumar Singh is a multifaceted personality. It has been said about him that he is not a person but an institution. It is his great specialty to maintain his arrogance in society by taking many dimensions at the same time. From national thinking to the development of public character, thinking continuously and being active separates them from everyone. He was born into a simple family in the small village of Chauhandih in the Jamui district. Being a village of freedom fighters and intellectuals, it was natural that the dignity, modesty, sacrifice, and dedication of the village had an impact on their lives. His personality developed under the educational influence of his father Yogendra Narayan Singh.

He started Bharat Samagra Jagran Abhiyan in the campaign to start a nationwide movement. Till 2010-12, this movement agitated Jamui. On many subjects like religion, politics, spirituality, life value, thought revolution, and child education, he organized seminars and lectures in different areas of the district. At the same time, he made his identity among the intellectuals of the country by editing the famous magazine Pagdandi the whole country, as a result of which the retired Vice Marshal of the Air Force of the Government of India Vishwamohan Tiwari became a part of his campaign and gave impetus to the programs being carried out by him. 

He came to Jamui many times and gave lectures on various topics. While he became the voice of the people of Jamui through the positive stream of the Anna movement, he led Baba Ramdev’s movement in Jamui to nurture the great feeling of nationalism.

He established the Samagra Bharat Nyas on August 20, 2013, in Jamui to become the voice of organized work on a new platform, since then till today his work is going on rapidly in different areas of society by making trust a base.  

Apart from the crowd, Dr. Ravish Kumar Singh especially made the culture and history of Jamui accessible to the public. Today whatever publicly accessible material about Jamui is available on social media and by reading the people of Jamui have started to understand and know Jamui, for that Dr. Ravish Kumar Singh has a special place in the hearts of the people of Jamui. He has developed many projects under the banner of Samagra Bharat Nyas. Pagdandi, Hindi’s literary, cultural, and intellectual project is important among them. It is a literary and intellectual awakening platform. In addition, so far 52 people have been honored for their talent and social contribution. Its district branches have been formed in which the contribution of the Munger district branch under the leadership of Dr. Sunil Kumar is commendable.

His vision for unemployed youth is Berojgar Mitra Mandal. This is a revolutionary initiative towards developing self-employment.  Gramodyog is the second project of the Trust related to Berojgar Mitra Mandal. Gramodyog is like a real platform for developing self-employment and earning profit for the beneficiaries where there is proper arrangement for the purchase and sale of its domestic products.

 Similarly, Yogendra Vidyapeeth is associated with the resolve to educate rural youth.  It is developing as a rich network of local intellectuals, retired personnel, and skilled and educated housewives to run coaching classes in the village after school hours and provide educational benefits to the students.

 Yogendrakulam is a university project related to cultural awakening, for the establishment of which the people associated with Samagra Bharat Nyas are continuously making successful efforts.

 The literary talent of Dr. Ravish Kumar Singh is also amazing in many ways. He can express public sentiments in a few lines in simple language. There are questions of society in his poetry as well as solutions. His novels deal with finding life and mending family and broken relationships. His novel ‘Ek Aur Geeta’ was published in the year 2004 while his poetry collection ‘Manjul Raag’ was published in 2022.

 His massive campaign to identify and honor talents and encourage their contribution to society building is like a banyan tree. Touching the entire dimension of society, literature, culture, and the intellectual world, his work is continuously progressive. Recognizing his talent, various organizations have also honored him for his work. In view of his educational works, the Jamui district administration has also honored him with Shikshak Samman. In fact, Dr. Ravish Kumar Singh is like a social warrior for a society whose example is difficult.
